The Winter 2010 West Regional RPCV Group Leaders meeting will be held in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, February 6, 2010. The meeting will be hosted by CRPCA at Portland Community College’s Cascade campus, 705 N Killingsworth St in Portland, in Terrell Hall 122 (auditorium–see “TH” in the campus map), from 9:00 am to noon PST. Free parking is available at campus lots on Saturdays. The campus is also served by TriMet buses 4 and 72 (type “PCC-Cascade” into trip planner).
All members of our region’s RPCV groups are welcome, not just group leaders! It’s an excellent opportunity also for those interested in becoming group leaders, and timely too with nominations and elections for new SEAPAX Board members coming up in February-March.
A meeting agenda will be sent out closer to the event. It is likely to include updates from each of the participating groups, an NPCA update from our rep Joe Hindman, how RPCVs can help with Peace Corps recruiting, and news of the Museum of the Peace Corps Experience’s 2011 exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society. Please send agenda items to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To our out-of-town guests, please let us know if you seek lodging (Friday and/or Saturday night) in a CRPCA member’s home and/or need assistance with local transportation. CRPCA members, please let us know if you can assist our out-of-town guests with lodging and/or transportation. The contact for lodging and transportation is Rich Ireland, email@example.com or 503-246-0479.
For complete details on the meeting and associated events, please visit the CRPCA website at: http://www.crpca.org/regional.html
All SEAPAX members who will be attending, please let Joan Ramos know by Jan. 31, at our meeting or by email to pres(at)seapax(dot)org. Some of us will be traveling to Portland by train, and we welcome you to join us on board.
