Important updates for SEAPAX Oct. 1 Potluck

We have some important news & info to share with you concerning this Saturday’s potluck.

Potluck food
First, we kindly request that you plan to increase the serving size of the food item you are bringing to serve 20 people.   As hosts we need to ensure that there is enough to go around.  To clarify, the 29 people in the IVLP group (25 visitors and 4 staff) will not be bringing food. Extra beverages are welcome too.

Your RSVP is needed by tomorrow, Sept. 29 . Pls. let Joanne Dufour know how many people are coming with you and what type of dish you will be bringing. Contact her at: jdufourhc@msn.com,, or 206-937-5724

Car-pooling

Jackie Prideaux can offer a ride to a couple of people; she’ll be coming from Ballard. Feel free to contact her by email jackie.prideaux@gmail.com or cell (206) 707-5693.
If anyone else can help with rides, pls. let me know.

Logistics
We are still in need of folks to help with the following, pls. contact me directly to volunteer: 50thchair@seapax.org

1) 1 or 2 people to come early ( ~ 5 pm) to help with set-up
2)  a cooler and at least 2 bags of ice for beverages
3) a 30-cup urn with spigot or airpot for hot water
4) people for clean-up crew

Traffic alert
It has just been announced that this weekend ( 10 pm Fri.- 10 am Sun.) the exit from southbound Interstate 5 to the West Seattle Bridge will be closed for construction; drivers exiting from northbound I-5 will be directed to a detour route. The closure does not affect Hyw. 99.  This means that you will need to allow extra time to get to the party, due to the closure and related traffic back-ups.

See the post below for detailed instructions on how to get to the party by car and bus.
