These are exciting times, as open enrollment in the new Washington Healthplanfinder began on October 1, giving brand-new opportunities for many to be able to get health insurance, and for some, financial support to help pay for it. This includes many RPCVS, whether recently returned or at different life stages, as well as current and prospective PCVs. Since it can be complicated to understand how everything works, SEAPAX will host a meeting to help our community get up to speed on the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) and the coverage available through our state’s insurance Marketplace beginning in January 2014. Topics to be discussed are plans available, how to apply, how to get more information, and special issues for the Peace Corps community.
Please RSVP by Nov. 8 to: firstname.lastname@example.org, so we can be prepared with Healthplanfinder materials. And feel free to bring a snack or beverage to share.
