The annual election for the SEAPAX Board Officers is now underway. Thank you to all those who have submitted nominations. As positions in this election are all presently uncontested, election results will be made by acclamation. Candidate bios here.
This ballot will close at 5pm on Wed, November 1st, 2017. Results will be announced in the Nov newsletter. To cast a ballot, you must be a SEAPAX member (dues no longer required). If you are not yet a SEAPAX member, please join today.

2013 Board Nominations

Call for Nominations for SEAPAX Board Elections!

Now is the time to nominate candidates–yourself included–for SEAPAX board positions. The requirements to be eligible to be on the board are a paid membership to SEAPAX, an active interest in SEAPAX and commitment to working as team to help the SEAPAX community thrive. All candidates and interested SEAPAX members are invited to contact current board members about the duties and responsibilities of specific positions and what it’s like to be on a board.

We’d love to have you consider yourselves for a position on the board this year. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to any current (or past) board member directly. In general, SEAPAX is a collaborative group, and this is not a competitive election process. Ideally, we’d like to be able to get a sense of who was interested in what positions and then match up names and roles accordingly, and then post it on the official ballot as discussed.

Board Nomination Guidelines

Nominations will be accepted until February 28.
All candidates must have their 2013 dues paid. To renew your membership click here for the membership form–please mail in your form and $15.00 check to the address indicated.
Submit nominations via email to board@seapax.org.

Please include the following information about the nominee:
  • Name
  • Email address and phone number
  • PC Country(ies) and Years of Service
  • If you are nominating someone else, please include your name and contact info.
  • Brief statement of interest: why you are interested, which particular board position you seek, and what background you would bring to the position and board
  • An optional biography or resume can also be submitted

Becoming an officer or committee chair is a commitment that can be both rewarding and fun. Candidates for all positions need to be able to devote a minimum of a few hours a month (more when working on special projects) for a 12-month period, April 2013 – March 2014.

The election period will begin Monday, March 4 via electronic ballots, and the election period will close Sunday, March 24, 2012, at 5pm. To cast a ballot, you must also be a paid SEAPAX member. If you are not yet a SEAPAX member or need to renew your membership, sign up today and mail-in your membership form. The board (and committee chairs) will be announced at the end of March and will take office on April 1, 2013.
